DESIGN SPECIALIST | AUTHOR | ADOBE FOUNDERS' AWARD RECIPIENT I’m a self-taught graphic designer that started working in the design industry at the age of 19. I spent years burning the midnight oil while working for publishers, creative agencies, advertisement companies, and many in-house design departments. After the design years came the teaching years. I spent roughly 8 years as a full-time Adobe trainer for various training centers in Belgium, the UK and Australia, teaching in 3 languages. Print, image retouching, animation, web, video, multi-channel publishing, PDF and electronic documents, I did it all. But I always had a special place for Adobe InDesign - Photoshop - Illustrator workflows. I started a side business in 2013 working as an author writing online articles on design workflows, InDesign, and new design technologies. And I became a public speaker for hire at major conferences and events across Europe, Australia, and the United States. I joined Adobe in 2015 as a Solutions Consultant, specialising in Creative Cloud and Document Cloud. This allowed me to combine my passions for design, technology, and storytelling. Since 2022, I lead a team of Solutions Consultants who are focused on helping customers discover the value of Adobe’s solutions by providing technical and business expertise. As a "hobby", I became a video author for LinkedIn Learning (formally Lynda.com) in 2020 where I enjoy creating content and instructing others how to use Adobe's products. Two years later, I had my first book published on Adobe design workflows, which is now part of Adobe's official curriculum. In 2022 I was awarded the Adobe Founders’ Award. Adobe founders John Warnock and Chuck Geschke established the award to enable Adobe employees to recognize the people, all over the world, who help make Adobe not just a great company, but a great place to work. This yearly peer-nominated award is granted to employees who exemplify Adobe's core values. It is considered Adobe’s highest honor, which I consider my highest career accomplishment.
