Planned and unplanned maintenance of all machines in Thin Films department in both MOS 1 and MOS 9 Wafer Fabs including, Novellus Concept One, Varian Sputterers 3180,3190,3280,3290STQ, Applied Materials 2100 Silox Furnace, 5000 Poly/Oxide,5500 Endura, RTP Furnace, Watkins Johnson WJ999, Philips XRF750 Measurement System, Semitool Washer/Dryers, Wetbenches, and all associated pumps/extract systems/RF generators, power supplies and control software. Led a 4 man team which was responsible for Portable Appliance Testing of all items within the confines of the East Kilbride site, which enabled the site to pass ISO9002. Operation, hardware setup changes, planned and unplanned maintenance on ASM-Fico moulding equipment, ASM-Fico dejunk equipment, Technik electroplating equipment, mark (pad ID printing) equipment, ASM-Fico Trim & Form equipment. Mould die tool strip/rebuild, chemical analysis of electroplating baths chemistry, TXRF of electroplating chemistry on leadframe, control of consumables stock for Assembly department. Part of a four man team which introduced a new product line in assembly and test areas, the first of it’s kind in the world – 132lead Quad Flat Pack Assembly and Test.
Management of all onsite activities and personnel at key customer account. Responsible for timely installation of new equipment through to customer handover. Front line support of install base onsite. Issue and escalation support tracking through to successful resolution. Early identification of issues at customer site with systems in production, optimized communication of customer expectations between regional offices and HQ, as well as optimized realization procedures. Identification of customer specific requirements, definition of technical specifications, preparation of structure, projects, sub-projects, defining responsible action owners, tracking of open actions, communication and visibility of progress between customer and factory teams. Weekly reporting to CEO on all activities ongoing at key accounts. Identify potential upgrades with aim to increase system up time, usability and drive higher MTBF etc. Mentoring/training of direct report workforce. Logistics support to customer and factory teams.

Installation, fault finding in all areas of 200mm Stratagem200 ALD Vapour Deposition systems (electronic/electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/plc/pc/robotics/process etc), creation of planned maintenance/cleaning specification documentation for customer, first line support (lone European engineer for the company), liasing with customer with regards to upgrades and possible issues with the equipment, training customers personnel in all aspects of the systems.
