About

I am an Academician focused on healthy aging and aging processes. I am a Physiotherapist, a Gerontologist who graduated from the Gerontology Department with the first rank. I have a master's degree in Gerontology and my PhD continues in the same field. I am also continuing my education to become a Dietitian and a Personal Trainer. My work focuses on examining the effects of exercise, diet, psychological and social factors on healthy aging. My goal is to help older people maximize their physical and mental capacity. I develop solutions to improve their quality of life and support them to live an independent life. I have a multidisciplinary approach and work closely with health professionals, caregivers and older people. Thanks to the organizations I have worked with and the projects I have carried out, I have gained a wide network and experience in this field. I aim to share all the knowledge and experience gained at this critical stage of human life. I want to raise awareness on healthy ageing and promote innovative practices.

    Huzurlu Yaşam Nursing Home and Disabled Care Center operates under the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies. Huzurlu Yaşam Care Center serves its guests with a total of 30 disabled care staff, social workers, psychologists, geriatrics specialists, 5 nurses with a capacity of 72 beds and 32 rooms. The main features of the center are that it has an intensive care specialist, the physical structure of the building is designed to provide intensive care support and the patients discharged from intensive care are addressed to patients with palliative care needs. The building structure is a center with a stretcher elevator built according to the disabled care legislation. Physiotherapy can be applied to bedridden patients accompanied by our physical therapy rehabilitation specialist. Bedsores requiring intensive care support are also treated with care. Mobilization and respiratory physiotherapy are also performed in the intensive care unit for patients who are fed through the stomach or nasogastritis. It aims to serve bedridden unconscious patients with a total of 22 motorized intensive care beds with its expert staff. By applying occupational therapy to Alzheimer's Dementia patients, it manages to reduce discomfort.
