I have worked in non-profit, for profit, academic, medical and educational fields. I bring with me a diverse skill set that has been applied to a broad range of working environments. I am currently self employed as a consultant and interested in potential opportunities that will take full advantage of my range of skills.
Consulting services in web design and maintenance, social media presence, administrative assistance (all of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, program coordination), grant writing, writing and editing and event planning.
o Execute and manage all retail activities including managing volunteers and employees, inventory, sales tax, paying artists, purchasing merchandise and all bookkeeping. o Managing a non-profit organization including reporting to a Board of Directors, financial reporting, bookkeeping, payroll and staying within budget. o Successful grant writing to the City of Franklin, the Kentucky Arts Council and managing continuing support from the Franklin Simpson Community Arts Council. o Executing fund raising activities including finding sponsors for shows and smaller projects; events such as Appetizers for the Arts fundraiser; and annual fundraising letter and on line campaigns. o Devising and coordinating six large events per year in the form of exhibits including, coordinating an opening night or Saturday event, finding artists, coordinating their work and marketing each exhibit. o Executing all advertising and marketing including keeping a website, facebook page and twitter account updated, designing and distributing a brand for each show through a large electronic physical and mailing lists – and keeping these lists updated and growing. Managing traditional forms of advertisement in the form of a relationship with local and regional radio, newspaper and television. o Managing a Guild of Artists membership of over 100 including maintaining and growing the membership. o Manage and encourage community collaborations throughout Franklin and Bowling Green including participation in downtown activities, reaching out to community organizations for opportunities to include art, presenting at schools and working with other art organizations such as participating in Kentucky Arts Council events and promotions. o Manage a building including repairs schedules, utility arrangements and upstairs rentals. o Create and promote educational programming including classes and clubs.
