Since my first year of study at the ULB, I have a great interest for many engineering domains, especially for automation and robotics. This interest, which has grown over the years, was confirmed with my master thesis for which I obtained a grade of 18/20. This master thesis consisted of a research project. The aim was to remotely control a slave robot equipped with a surgical tool from a master robot manipulated by a surgeon in the context of Robotized Minimally Invasive Surgery. The objective was to compensate the respiratory movements of a lung by tracking its trajectory. Then a force feedback was used so that the contact force between the slave robot and the lung could be felt on the master robot.
