My career has focused so far in technology development in the Healthcare Industry with an emphasis on Medical Imaging. I started on the Engineering side of Medical Imaging and evolved in the Pharmaceutical Industry mostly to deliver software as a service to Clients for their Clinical Trials conduct. My technical background in Computer Sciences and Data Processing has given me the ability and the mindset today to develop strategies with Clients for optimal design and use of the Medidata products during Clinical Trials.
Mission: Design and implement strategies to increase adoption of Medidata Products in particular Rave Imaging, Medidata Adjudicate and Remote Source Review by Clients Operational Advisor from Mar. 2019 to Apr. 2021 - promoted Senior in Apr. 2021 Actions & Achievements 1- Worked with a Team of Sales, Product, and Professional Services Directors and Implementation Consultants to identify the key Clients and their needs: - Consulted the Clients during Pre-Sales calls to explain as a Trusted Advisor the benefit of the Product in a Clinical Trial and to deliver demos - Wrote a guide to help Sales select the adequate enablement or Medidata Configuration offering based on Clients' use cases - Led the governance of strategic Imaging accounts - Scoped 3 Client enablement offerings and developed the training materials resulting in 6 Clients' enablement deliveries in 4 years - Designed, implemented and delivered custom solutions and trainings adapted to their Trial protocol and their Imaging Charters e.g. Rave Imaging configurations and Radiologist trainings to support Radiology Reviews following Oncology Paradigms (RECIST, iRECIST, Lugano), custom reports to support reconciliation of Rave Imaging and Rave EDC data - Provided Client feedback to the Product Teams and influenced for 2 major enhancements 2- Led 2 Senior Implementation Consultants and empowered them to design and deliver over 16 custom trainings in 4 years to key Clients after each new Product Release to ensure continuous Client education 3- Elevated the team profile internally via a team video, 4 presentations of successful trials, and 4 Client success stories published in the newsletter
Mission: Deliver and support Medidata Product Configurations and Custom Solutions for Clients’ Clinical Trials within budget and timelines Project Manager from Sep. 2015 to Jun. 2018, promoted Senior in Jul. 2018 Tasks & Achievements 1- Supported approximately 100 Clinical Trials for 3 major Clinical Research Organisations (CROs) and Sponsors through pro-active project management: - Managed contracts signatures, updates, and closures - Communicated pro-actively on project plan and milestones to all key Stakeholders - Coordinated issue resolutions with internal teams and updated Clients on progress - Tracked project financials in Salesforce and maintained the budget through accurate client invoicing, regular project forecasting, and adequate resource allocations - Provided support to Clients during audits (FDA, MHRA, and site audits) 2- Delivered innovative solutions and services to major CROs adapted to their needs - Led the implementation of the 1st ePRO solution with Rave EDC for a key CRO - Coordinated the specification writing, development and testing of 5 integrations of Rave EDC with an external Vendor Safety Database - Managed the requirements, development and deployment of custom datasets on the Rave EDC database of a major Sponsor to support their site payment and data management activities - Designed a strategy with a major CRO and Sponsor to close a Clinical Trial with 40,000 patients in the Rave EDC database using risks mitigations, innovative custom reports and scripts for efficient data management, and successful collaborations with the Medidata Product Teams 3- Contributed to the internal development of team members: - Trained 4 New Team Starters on processes, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and compliance to standard project management - Developed 2 Associate Project Managers through mentoring on project management and on tasks completion per the CROs specific ways working
Mission: Lead the activities of Imaging Data Collection and Quality Controls (QC) in Clinical Trials Clinical Imaging Associate from Apr. 2012 to Sep. 2013 – promoted Clinical Imaging Project Manager in Oct. 2013 Tasks & Achievements 1- Took part in the design of the imaging activities of the Clinical Trial with the GSK Study Team - Helped the Scientific Study Lead write the imaging sections of the protocols - Designed the scope of the Imaging QC from the protocol - Wrote the Imaging Acquisition Guidelines of the studies - Managed contracts with the vendors - Wrote specifications of the AG Mednet configuration for image transfers from sites to GSK database and validated the configuration - Trained sites for image transfer via AG Mednet 2- Managed a team of 5 Associates for the ongoing QC of 50 collected images per week for 8 trials in Musculoskeletal Diseases, Respiratory and Oncology - Assigned Associates to trials and coordinated the QC and data reconciliation activities including query management - Analysed QC results and queries and summarised on a regular basis the required actions back to the Lead Data Managers and the Lead Clinical Research Associates - Coordinated Imaging Data Cleaning activities in the electronic Case Report Form (eCRF Inform) to meet database freeze or interim analysis deadlines - Identified QC bottlenecks, suggested strategies to automate the QC, and developed and validated an automatic QC module in Java in 6 months that was used for an Imaging Clinical Trial in Neurosciences 3- Led a Team of 3 Managers for the transfer of images to imaging CROs for the Radiology Reviews - Coordinated transfers of hundreds of images every week between the 3 Managers - Empowered the Managers to identify transfers optimisations e.g. automations, error detections - Scoped, developed, and validated a Java and SQL script to automate the image transfer and cut by 1 month the manual intervention of the Managers for the transfer of thousands of images
Mission: Resolve under a 3-year limited budget a problem for tracking cancerous lesions in Medical Imaging detected by in vivo microscopy Research Associate employed in a Partnership between King’s College London (Feb. 2008 to May 2011 at Department of Dental Biomaterials) and University College London (Jun. 2011 to Apr. 2012 at CMIC) Tasks & Achievements 1- Developed a Computer Guided Intervention prototype for re-localisation of Biopsy Sites in Video Endoscopic Images using Matlab, C++ language and Computer Vision techniques - Defined and led a research project in collaboration with Clinicians and Industrial Partners - Studied the feasibility of a method combining positional sensors with computer vision algorithms - Developed a validation strategy based on experiments on synthetic data, phantoms, or patients - Presented the methods and results in a PhD thesis, in 3 international conferences and in 4 scientific journals - Defended the PhD thesis in front of a board of Examiners 2- Established a Research Activity within UCL for the Use of a Fibred Confocal Microscope (FCM) - Demonstrated to Clinicians, Biologists, and Physicists the benefits of the FCM to their Research - Contributed to the writing of grant applications with Image Scientists, Clinicians, Biologists, and Physicists to raise £5 million
Mission: Own and execute a 100hr test of a Vascular System for a new release Tasks and Achievements 1- Updated specifications and test cases to check the system selects the correct X-Ray doses 2- Ran the tests in various environments (simulators and system) with the help of Technicians and System Architects 3- Optimised the test by removing redundancies, by automating tasks, and by transferring ownership of parts of the test to adequate team and reduced the execution time of the test from 100hrs to 20hrs 4- Performed a Risk Analysis of the dose selection functionality and reported the results to the System Architects
Mission: Implement new functionalities of a Computer Aided Diagnosis Software Application for the Virtual Inspection of the Colon and Automatic Detection of Polyps or Cancers Tasks and Achievements 1- Developed, improved, or extended algorithms in C language in Visual Studio for the computation of the colon segmentation and centreline in Computed Tomography Colonography (CTC) DICOM images using texture segmentation and sub graph matching techniques 2- Documented the developed algorithms 3- Wrote and executed a validation strategy on a set of 100 patient DICOM CT images
