Bambina Marcello is a strategic visionary with extensive experience in sales, management, business development, and operations. She is recognized for her strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, as well as her ability to authentically build relationships that drive meaningful results. As Head of Business Development at Check Point Software Technologies, Bambina helps organizations strengthen their cyber security resilience. Check Point is a global leader in cyber security solutions, dedicated to protecting corporate enterprises and governments worldwide. Previously, as Chief Commercial Officer at the Toronto Region Board of Trade, Bambina led the organization’s commercial strategy, overseeing revenue generation, marketing, communications, membership growth, sponsorship, and operational initiatives. She leveraged digital technologies and communication platforms to enhance engagement, optimize performance, and deliver sustainable results. Before that, Bambina spent over 30 years at Air Canada, where she played a key role in accelerating transformational business growth across multiple divisions. As a member of the senior management team, she demonstrated strategic leadership and decision-making that consistently produced exceptional outcomes. She also founded and led Air Canada’s Business Development division, establishing strong partnerships with the business community, creating new revenue streams, and launching the airline’s first online platform for small and medium enterprises—an initiative that increased market share, profitability, and brand presence. Bambina is passionate about advancing Canada’s global business profile. She currently serves on the boards of the Canada India Business Council, the Italian Chamber of Commerce, and the Israel Ministry of Tourism Advisory Council, all dedicated to fostering trade and tourism. She previously served on the Ontario Chamber of Commerce board and has represented Canada on numerous national and international trade missions, strengthening economic ties with the U.S., France, Japan, India, and Israel. A committed community supporter, Bambina contributes to charitable causes including the SickKids Foundation, Air Canada Foundation, and the Ontario Science Centre. Bambina has completed leadership and management programs at Harvard University and INSEAD. She is also a Fellow and member of the International Women’s Forum, a global network of more than 7,500 distinguished women leaders across 33 countries.
Bambina successfully led the commercial strategy at the Toronto Region Board of Trade. Bambina was accountable and responsible for revenue generation, marketing, communications, membership growth and engagement, sponsorship and operational initiatives.
