I am an Honorary Doctor of Engineering, Chartered Engineer, and senior technology leader with more than 30 years of experience delivering high‑performance, safety‑critical engineering systems across Formula One, automotive, telecommunications, start-up's and advanced product development. As Head of Mechanical Engineering and Design at Formula One Group, I am now focusing on new strategic technical ventures. Previously, I led a plus 60‑person multi‑disciplinary engineering team of mechanical, electronics, and software engineers, developing next generation technology. My work focuses on innovation, long‑term technology strategy, technical governance, business continuity, and risk oversight, supported by full accountability for multi-million pound annual budget management. I specialise in building high‑performance teams, developing innovation pipelines, and delivering mission‑critical systems under extreme time pressure. My leadership includes major transformation programmes, such as creating a remote technical centre that enabled Formula One’s return to racing during the Covid‑19 crisis. I continue to champion new technologies, materials, and processes that strengthen organisational capability and long‑term resilience. I serve on the Kingston University Industrial Advisory Board, supporting curriculum development, accreditation, and STEM pathways for the next generation of engineers. My contribution to motorsport, engineering and education has been recognised with an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering. I am also a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE) and Institute of Engineering Designers (MIED). I am now expanding my portfolio into Non‑Executive Director, Trustee, and Advisory Board roles, particularly in organisations where innovation, technology leadership, governance, and long‑term strategic thinking are central to success.
