Through my internship with the Capacity Building Team at the Dasra Foundation, I learnt about the issues experienced by organizations in the Indian development and philanthropic sectors. I was offered insights into what creates programmatic success for an NGO operating in India, and grasped key management frameworks which assist in the building of greater organizational capacity. During my time in Mumbai, I also: - attended site visits, symposiums, and media releases organized by Dasra's partners, noted key learnings, prepared summaries, and disseminated them among the team. - assisted in the preparation of Dasra's Access to Justice Intervention Strategy. This included conducting extensive secondary research and making evidence based recommendations. - Assisted in the editing of baseline and organizational reports and overviews. - Updated Dasra's 'NGO database'.
