About

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Photonics Theory group at Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. I expertise in theoretical modeling and simulations of carrier transport and optical properties in compound semiconductors. Currently, my research focuses on the development of (ultra)wide bandgap semiconductors for high-frequency and power electronics. At the Irish Photonic Integration Centre (IPIC) at Tyndall, I work on establishing theoretical frameworks that integrate first-principles calculations, device simulations, and machine learning to design next-generation transistors. These transistors, based on aluminum-rich wide-bandgap III-Nitride semiconductors, are tailored for high-voltage and high-frequency applications. The designed devices are then grown by our collaborator, Dr. Pietro Pampilli from Prof. Peter Parbrook's group at Tyndall, and subsequently tested by Dr. Jayjit Mukherjee from Prof. David Moran's group at the University of Glasgow.
