- Influence strategic decision making related to future demands for Telecommunication Towers Infrastructure. - Lead the infrastructure design and requirements in alignment with the business strategy. - Drive the infrastructure standardization across different markets, notably by defining guidelines for standardizing operational processes, ways of working with the different markets, policies and procedures. - Define the approach to optimise costs for infrastructure development, taking into consideration their future operation and maintenance performance and costs. - Define guidelines for general compliance and vendor evaluation controls. - Enable existing infrastructure for sharing and optimise fit for future infrastructure designs.
- Technical lead on technology evaluation and implementation - Business planning, budgeting and proposal for ExCo and CAPEX Committees - Technical lead on Dark Fiber network specification, sourcing, HLD, LLD, deployment, monitoring and O&M. Project worth above $200m and 15,000 km of fiber for top two Nigerian MNOs; MTN and Airtel. - Rural Telephony End-to-end Solution covering geo-marketing, RF planning, site acquisition, site built, active BTS, off-grid solar power system, backhauling and business planning for over 2,000 location and over $50m project budget. - IoT, Sigfox and Lora Technology, business mode, and market needs assessment. - Telecom on grid and off grid energy solution and storage requirement definition, design assessment and evaluation (solar, hybrid, lead acid, Li-Ion, fuel cells, LPG,..) - Technical lead on potential projects and partnership with Facebook (TIP Project), TESLA (energy storage), Brunel University London (Hydrogen Fuel Cells), and Powerlight (wireless power transmission, technology funded by US MoD and NASA).
- Tier 3 Network Operation Center (NOC) facility, technology tools and process design and implementation for Primary HQ, Secondary NOC and datacenter. - Strategic and operational leadership of IHS Towers Nigeria NOC managing over 16,000 collocation towers and 0.5m assets. - Managing a department of more than 240 direct staff and 200 contractors with 24/7 shifts processing over 3,000 incidents and 5,000 change request per day. - Overlooking Network Management, Service Desk, Quality, Network Assurance with an annual department budget of $7m. - Design and implementing Remote Monitoring and Management Telemetry Systems for 16,000 telecom sites covering power, security, environment and diesel monitoring using IoT sensors and edge computing; over a $100m project. - Heading Internal and External Revenue Assurance for more than 23,000 telcom collocation equipment covering mobile technology, tower loading, power consumption and operational cost optimization such as central power station. - Enabling Big Data analysis environment and predictive analytics - Leading the process standardization and Digital Transformation deployment across 7 countries (Nigeria, Cameroon Ivory Coast, Zambia, Rwanda, Kuwait and Brazil) overlooking systems, tool integration and workflow automation. - Managing Internal and External Governance ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with international bodies such as ISO 9001:2008 and SOX.
- Set up NOC Organizational Structure, Dimensioning, Functions, and roles & JDs. - Set up NOC Guideline, Incident Management, Operational Process & Procedures, Policies and BCP. - Implementation of GSM operator’s Active OSS applications. - Set up Remote Management System requirements and specifications for Tower Monitoring and Management. - Evaluate and propose RMS providers for 16,000 tower Remote Management. - Constitute and mobilize deployment of the Umbrella Management System Concept. - Set up a Passive Equipment Metering Charging System. - Set up power solution physical requirements and integration with RMS systems. - Design communication mechanism for four different RMS providers feeding geo-redundant servers from 14,000 sites with load balance and high availability architecture. - Identify the yearly CAPEX and OPEX budget for the NOC.
