FSSA operates as an autonomous investment team within First Sentier Investors with members across Hong Kong, Singapore and Edinburgh. FSSA utilises a long-term investment approach across Asia Pacific and Global Emerging Markets. Responsible for determining team position and engagement strategy on thematic issues including decarbonisation, modern slavery, and bank lending; improving exclusionary policy and controls; uplifting ESG research integration within the investment process; and engaging with portfolio companies on environmental and social matters (e.g. modern slavery risks, climate change progress, and biodiversity, etc.). Led client management and reporting on ESG issues such as due diligence reviews, questionnaires, RPFs and oversaw the development of ESG reports, climate disclosures, and regulatory reporting.
