Performed and conducted the daily operation of 6X50 MW and 3X100 MW Russian built generation plant with its associated Hydrogen cooling and seal oil system. Performed plant start-ups and shutdowns. Monitor power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems. Active member of water treatment system conversion to ensure sufficient boiler water make up. Maintained shift operating logs, performs rounds and report all deficiencies. Excellent experience in multi fuel energy production facility management. Supervising the operation of Automate Control System of lignite fired boilers, T/G sets and attending breakdown maintenance to ensure smother operation. Actively coordinated with contractor (Uptron India limited) for conversion of old Russian build process controller to modern computerised digital distributed control system. Carried out 400 K.V extra high voltage (E.H.V) substation equipment’s pre-commissioning site testing. Conducted preventive/conditional maintenance of substation equipment and auxiliary systems of E.H.V sub-station at Sriperumbuthur, Tamil nadu, India as part of SREB inter connecting program of south Indian states. Inventory management, general accounting done to minimize the maintenance and running cost of sub-station.
Designing of 220 K.V outdoor type sub-station in close association with Central Electricity Authority, New Delhi, India. Issuing of Technical feasibility to Low Voltage construction. Master plan works such as system modification, power forecasting, etc.
