Assumed leadership of a mismanaged procurement and purchasing department with 1 year delay resulting in a highly motivated, powerful team and timely project delivery, catching up the schedule in 9 months with zero instances of fraud. Forming a clear, just and reliable organizational structure, coached and mentored the team members to motivate and ensure increasing performance in challenging working environment Achievements: • Designed and implemented $2 billion procurement strategy with sole authorization for spending while leading the complete supply chain process successfully and on schedule, 120 + tender packages • Produced and implemented all departmental procedures with 5 subdivisions and managed the collaboration and efficient working relationship between 100+ vendors, 15+ internal JV departments, AECOM (the Engineer) and ADAC (the Client) • Successfully built five highly collaborative cross-functional teams while increasing FTEs from 12 to 50 of 7 different nationalities in 6 months
Successfully established new procurement and logistics department of 10 members for the Abu Dhabi Int’l Airport Expansion Project Phase 1 with a U.S. value of $57 million. Led the complete supply chain process of project phase I until project completion. Coordinated commercial relations between the JV board and project management team and vendors; strengthened strategic partnerships by managing effective corporate communications.
