I am a technology enthusiast and machine learning researcher with a background in project management, software development, data science, and AI. My professional journey spans diverse domains, where I have been fortunate to contribute to impactful projects and collaborate with talented teams. I have Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University, where my research focuses on developing innovative machine learning algorithms. This work combines theoretical exploration with practical applications, aiming to address real-world challenges in data-driven decision-making. Over the years, I have gained experience in areas such as programming languages, database systems, project/program management, machine/deep learning, data mining, cryptography, and blockchain technologies. My professional roles, including serving as a Chief Technology Officer, have allowed me to lead interdisciplinary teams and deliver projects ranging from AI-powered systems to digital platforms. I believe in lifelong learning and fostering collaboration. Whether mentoring team members or solving complex technical problems, I aim to approach every task with curiosity and dedication. While achievements like being the top-ranked student in Turkey's university entrance exams in 1988 are milestones I cherish, I find the most fulfillment in contributing to meaningful projects and continuous growth. I initially collaborated with colleagues from METU and Boğaziçi University, all of whom hold Ph.D. degrees, to develop a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software. I developed and executed a recruitment strategy, including job postings, candidate screening, and online qualifying exams. I supervised large-scale joint-projects with the institutions such as UNDP, UNHCR, and EU on behalf of İŞKUR, such as PES (Improving The Quality Of Public Employment Services) and ALO 170 (Governmental Contact Center for Employees). The names of the projects I managed were respectively: Data Center Installment, Security Management, ISO 27001 Certification, Business Intelligence, Data Mining, Development of the New İŞKUR Website, Data Analytics, Business Process Management, and e-Learning. Besides, I also took an active role in the recruitment committee by preparing the "Contracted IT Personnel" exam questions held in 2015 and 2021, and conducting interviews.
