Ayesha is a Union Representative at the union for Canadian Office & Professional Employees- COPE 378 (MoveUP). She completed a B.A. in Sociology and holds certificates in Global Governance, Human Rights, and NGO & Non Profit Management. She serves as a Member of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women. Ayesha's paid and unpaid work includes the intentional centering of anti-imperialism in spaces here, near and far- including but not limited to: race & class liberation and challenging white supremacist Patriarchy. To recognize her demonstrated impact for social change, Ayesha was named a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum, delegate for the Banff Forum, distinguished as KPU's Outstanding Young Alumni and is recognized as one of KPU's Top 40 Alumni to Watch.     As a Union Organizer with MoveUP, I support workers to build collective power through organizing, leadership development, member engagement, and strategic campaigns. My work includes leading certification campaigns, defending bargaining units during raid and decertification activity, developing organizing infrastructure, and designing education programs that strengthen worker and member participation. Highlights include: • Lead organizer on 7 successful certification campaigns across the non-profit, environmental, education, labour, and financial services sectors. • Led a major raid defence campaign to protect existing bargaining rights and membership. • Developed organizing frameworks, policies, and training resources, including anti-raid and decertification response systems, member resiliency curriculum, and organizing best-practices programs. • Designed and facilitated training for Executive Council members, Board members, staff, stewards, activists, and union representative trainees. • Trained more than 175 union leaders, staff, members, and activists, including 8 Union Representative Trainees across three organizer development cohorts.
