Legal Lead for Türkiye
I assist clients in three main fields: • Technology, Media and Telecommunications - Data protection law: assisting clients from a wide variety of sectors with establishing and maintaining data privacy and security compliance - Telecommunications law: advising international and domestic telecommunications operators, including technology giants and IoT providers - Internet and media law: assisting clients including big tech companies, marketplaces and internet service providers with various matters including online broadcasting regulations • Trade & Commerce - Contractual law: drafting, negotiating and terminating sector-specific contracts including toll manufacturing, supply, agency, distribution, franchise and license agreements; providing advice on unfair competition matters; assisting retainer clients with their daily commercial law matters - Customs law: providing legal advice on import and export control regulations - Consumer law: advising e-commerce platforms, manufacturers, importers and sellers on a broad range of consumer matters, including e-commerce; advertising and marketing and after sales regulations. • Regulatory: Advising clients on various regulatory matters including product compliance, transportation law and environmental law. I also have a strong competition law notion; since it was the focus of my LL.M. programme and my LL.M thesis, whereas I do not actively practice this field. I am a member to the Diversity and Inclusion team which is focused on four main pillars; gender, ethnicity & culture, LGBTI+ and disability.
