I am an expert and thought leader in healthcare, passionate about health-tech innovation and entrepreneurship after being immersed in the healthcare sector for more than 30 years. I started my career with my PhD training in molecular biology, after which I joined a biotech start-up. After finishing my MBA at INSEAD, I joined McKinsey to become one of its few global healthcare industry leaders spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Here I had the privilege of leading teams and working closely with clients to deliver positive impact to various healthcare systems, healthcare companies across the value chain, their shareholders and society. I spent the last eight years of my career in Asia leading the Life Sciences and Healthcare practices for McKinsey. In my role as Deputy CEO of Amplify Health, I will lead a company aspiring to make Asia healthier through excelling in Technology, Data Science and People, and by doing so creating and sharing value in the health systems of Asia.

I am a senior partner in McKinsey’s Hong Kong office. I am the leader of the Healthcare Practice in Asia where I advise top management along their entire value chain. I have led major initiatives to help companies set up global operating models, guide large transformations, and define their country-specific go-to-market models. My passion lies in helping healthcare systems think creatively and strategically about innovative care delivery models to help tackle future challenges. Prior to McKinsey, I was an entrepreneur building a research-based biotech company. I hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Technische Universität Damstadt and a MBA from INSEAD.
