Most of my work experience is with Alaskan Native owned organizations. I have been an intern at Bering Straits Native Corporation for the past four summers I am also a shareholder with them as well. Each summer I have been able to intern at a different department so far I have interned in the following departments: Shareholder Development, Business Development, Accounting at Alaska Industrial Hardware and Project Controls. Furthermore I was Cares Act Liasion for BSNC to help distribute COVID relief funds. I have also worked at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium as a Front Desk Agent helping those who needed to attend appointments in Anchorage find housing for their stay. Additionally, I worked as a site host and a tour guide for the Alaska Native Heritage Center for three summers. Sharing knowledge about the different cultural groups that make up Alaska.

Worked in the Project Controls Department. Entered in Estimated at Completion (EAC) data entry for various projects. Understand the fundamentals of what makes a project with scope, schedule and cost. Hands on experience with earned value management . Assisted with Construction Management Software Selection Process: Went through vendor Request for Proposal responses. Put together results in excel that best suited company needs. Collected score cards from employees within the company and made sure the scoring was fair across the board.
Worked at Alaska Industrial Hardware in the Accounting Department. Input vouchers in the accounting Atlas system, made sure products were charged the correct amount per unit and making sure each order had the correct items. Put together credit applications for businesses wanting a credit account with Alaska Industrial Hardware this involved reaching out to references weekly and looking at business licenses then giving the completed packet to management. File vouchers to their proper vendor number folder. Scanned and sent remittance to ensure company’s have their vouchers backed up. Organized department emails in outlook by accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Worked in the Business Development Department. Helped create sources sought responses. Assisted with making outlines of proposals. Contract comparisons for history and content. Collaborate with the CARES Act support team to perform duties to ensure that BSNC’s shareholders and descendants are provided timely information on opportunities and benefits provided by BSNC through the CARES Act funding program. Ensures that communication principles to build trust and credibility are incorporated into all messages. Develops and maintains a contact list and call logs related to the CARES Act funding program. Develops and maintains effective relationships with community and organizational leaders (as directed) to support the administration of the BSNC CARES Act program. Develops and documents CARES Act funding program procedures. Maintains computer and manual filing systems related to the CARES Act funding program. Coordinates office procedures. Carries out administrative duties in direct support of the CARES Act funding program, such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, faxing, etc. Prepares template agreements and emails on behalf of other office staff. Completed routine quality control screenings for received applicant data. Alpha and numeric data entry.
