Responsible for managing inventory, indenting, ensuring right merchandise and proper display to attract the customer and repeat business. Using Flo( 3RP) to track out the slow and fast moving items so that right stock is present at the right time to the customers and the merchandise with slow movement are sold through discounts and schemes in consultation with category buyers. Managing and training the associates on the importance of FIFO maintenance, ensuring damage and shrinkage is controlled within the parameters. Adapting systems/ procedures for smooth functioning of materials management functions. Implementing control measures to reduce obsolete stock, keep tab on slow-moving items. Conducting regular audits to ensure that materials received from vendors conform to pre-set quality standards; analyzing rejections & taking corrective actions ensuring compliance. Monitoring MIS reports with a view to apprise top management for facilitating the decision making process of the routine trading activities viz, distribution management, material management, cost savings etc.
