- Accepted into the Wolfpack Solutions Tiered Mentoring Program under PhD student Bradley Scholten (P.I. Dr. Roland Kays & Martha Burford Reiskind), funded for Fall, Spring, and Summer research - Global One Health Project studying antibiotic resistant bacteria in songbirds and how human activity influences the prevalence of this resistance, will be a co-author - Learned BSL2 safe laboratory procedures and techniques, isolated bacteria from environmental samples, performed antibiotic resistance testing on isolated bacteria, learned about and contributed to the scientific research process - Presented research poster at NC State’s spring 2024 Undergraduate Research Symposium
