About

Hello! My name is Ava Smith, and I am currently a junior pursuing a degree in finance at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I am a student that is hard-working, proficient in Excel, adaptable, and communicative. Although I have wanted to study business since I discovered my interests in problem-solving and connecting with others, my courses at IU have grown my passion and honed in on my technical skills. Through these classes, I have become proficient in Excel, learned financial equations, enhanced my public speaking abilities, and gained an understanding of both domestic and international economics. In addition to my academic pursuits, my involvement in a sorority has allowed me to cultivate skills in problem-solving, interpersonal relationships, and event planning. Rushing my business fraternity further refined my networking capabilities, professional development, and commitment to upholding core values. My role at Starbucks has also instilled in me strong communication skills, familiarity with point-of-sale systems, and the importance of teamwork. These diverse experiences have contributed to my growth as a well-rounded student and employee, allowing me to handle various challenges with confidence. Outside of my academic and professional endeavors, I enjoy running, baking, attending concerts, and spending quality time with friends and family. Engaging in activities that bring me joy not only enriches my life but also inspires me to explore new passions and hobbies that keep me motivated. My lifelong goal is to make a meaningful impact, and it is my passion to stay involved and expand my experiences as a student. Thank you for your time, and please feel free to reach out!
