I'm Ava Smith—an athlete, leader, and advocate for health, fitness, and the outdoors. My passion for movement, teamwork, and making a difference has shaped me into a driven and adaptable individual. As my Rep Soccer teams captain, I honed leadership, communication, and strategic thinking—learning how to inspire and guide a team toward collective success. My experience in sports and leadership has reinforced my discipline, perseverance, and ability to embrace challenges head-on. Whether on the field or in the gym, I thrive in environments that push limits and foster resilience. Beyond sports, my deep love for animals led me to volunteer at the Costa Rica Rescue Center, where I contributed to rehabilitation efforts and learned firsthand about responsibility, problem-solving, and compassionate care. I'm pursuing a career that integrates these passions—whether through health and wellness, or as a veterinary vet one day! At the heart of it all, my goal is simple: to create a positive impact, even if it’s just for one person.
Took care of the indigenous animals of Costa Rica that now live in the rescue center, by preparing food and cleaning their enclosures. I experienced the amazing opportunity of assisting with the specific care of the baby sloths that were rescued as well!
