As a Systems Engineering Intern at P1 Industries, I develop and optimize end-to-end manufacturing and quality systems supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs. I collaborate with cross-functional engineering, quality, and production teams to standardize workflows, improve process efficiency, and ensure compliance with customer and defense-industry requirements. My work includes authoring manufacturing work instructions and process documentation, designing process flowcharts and Gantt schedules, defining material and manufacturing processes, supporting quality documentation and traceability, optimizing production layouts using Lean manufacturing principles, and developing tools to streamline engineering and documentation workflows.
As an Undergraduate Researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I am developing high-fidelity lunar terrain models to support autonomous navigation and localization for future lunar exploration missions. My research focuses on processing and analyzing NASA Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) elevation data using MATLAB to identify and characterize major lunar surface features, including craters, basins, and mountain ranges.
I am working with several other undergraduate students to research, design, and implement a fully-integrated NV(nitrogen vacancy)-based device platform for affordable, open-source access to quantum technologies.

Throughout this internship, I have been exposed to skills such as PCB design on KiCad, LTSpice, breadboarding, Python programming, Linux, and AutoCAD. After learning these skills, I applied them to build a flight computer and a guitar pedal. I also mentored incoming community college interns, hoping to learn the same skills.
