-Collaborate with plants, suppliers, and logistics to ensure a seamless flow of inventory. -Coordinate and follow-up with suppliers, operations and warehousing regarding late orders, material outages, and/or special projects. -Manage purchase order/work order size based on service commitments, existing inventory on hand, and lead times. -Manage lead times to drive operational efficiency and improve service. -Manage inventory turns and safety stock parameters, minimize surplus/obsolescence, and provide consistent input into workload plans. -Understand plant/supplier capacity, lead-time and operational plans, to ensure proper inventory is maintained. -Collaborate with demand planning to understand the impact of forecast changes and translate demand plan into inventory needs. -Communicate with peers and escalate to leadership team when potential supply issues arise. -Utilize system-generated reports to determine priorities, to identify and resolve potential issues, and to confirm/communicate results. -Create ad hoc reporting when needed. Perform weekly root cause analysis.
