Translating high level strategic vision into specific capabilities. Decision maker around "what" and "when" to build capabilities for the Recursion OS on our scale-up and biological cartography efforts. Examples include creating internal applications and API's to enable scientists to more deeply interrogate our biological images and identify novel drug discovery programs, designing experiments to confirm hypotheses, and transitioning our experiment evaluation pipeline to leverage better Deep Learning models based on a set of pre-defined benchmarks. Developed key metric dashboards to support our transition as a publicly traded company (IPO, April 2021).
Led a cross-functional team developing biological tools, such as CRISPR, to build thousands of models of human diseases on our platform. Expanded technical skills by publishing dozens of internal Jupyter Notebooks focused on platform optimization as well as developing a bot for our internal slack work space to provide information on our internal library of gene-knockouts, compounds and experiments.
Ensure laboratory operations continue to run smoothly while leading product management of the Phenoprint & Hit Discovery cross-functional team, which identifies disease-signatures and potential therapeutics from our 3+ petabyte cellular image data set. • Organized a cross-functional team of biologists and data scientists to scale CRISPR for discovering novel drug candidates on our phenomics platform. • Built high-level operational dashboards for internal reporting to identify bottlenecks and potential issues. • Developed and standardized screening strategies to assess the potential of new chemical entities and re-purposing drug candidates for the treatment of various diseases.
• Designed and programmed high-throughput assays for Hamilton Robotic Workstations • Evaluated protein stability with chromatography, electrophoresis and spectroscopy • Wrote method and trained users on Micro-Flow Imaging to detect sub-visible particles
• Developed a strategy for continuous process verification of biological drug substances to meet FDA guidance for industry • Created a series of five analyses which evaluated process consistency of the upstream and downstream steps of manufacturing • Authored technical reports on the implementation of the analyses for multiple biologics
• Reverse engineered malware by dissembling signatures using IDA PRO • Evaluated programming tutorials for their effectiveness in instruction • Full time internship during the summer of 2010
