      I hold a PhD in biology and I am specialized in nanomedicine and nanotoxicology. My research was conducted within the FoRmulaEx consortium – an industrial research center for functional RNA delivery – and contributed to create fundamental knowledge and novel technologies that will allow successful translation of RNA modalities into the clinic.

    My research at KI has focused mainly on immunotoxicity of engineered nanomaterials and this work was conducted in the frame of the EU-funded project FP7-NANOSOLUTIONS which aimed to achieve a systems biology understanding of nanomaterial interactions with biological systems at the molecular, cellular, and organism levels.

    I succeed to the competitive exam of the doctoral school “Sciences Chimiques et Biologiques pour la Santé” (CBS2) and obtained a personal funding for a 3-years PhD. I decided to join Dr. Garcia’s research group at the IBMM. The team is focusing on glyco- and nano-vectors for therapeutic targeting against rare pathology, such as lysosomal diseases, and selected cancer. The technological advance in nanoscience has allowed the development of a wide range of nanostructured materials for biomedical applications. These tools have been developed for diagnosis and/or therapy, in particular to achieve targeting, cellular labeling, medical imaging and to design drug delivery systems for the treatment of cancer or infectious diseases. The group works in close collaboration with chemists from national and international research centers and develops innovative nanotechnologies for personalized and non-invasive treatments of small solid cancers. My research, articulated in four projects have enrolled in this context and focused on the study of therapeutic targeted nanoparticles for cancer treatment.
