Driving patient-centric innovation in brain health, Alzheimer’s disease, and neurodegenerative disorders—de-risking and accelerating pharma and biotech development Physician–scientist and Professor of Neurology (MD, PhD) with over 15 years of experience in brain health, neurodegenerative diseases, biomarkers, and precision prevention. Trained as a cognitive and behavioral neurologist, I specialize in early diagnosis, patient stratification, and personalized approaches to Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, with a strong focus on clinically meaningful and patient-relevant outcomes. I work at the intersection of clinical development, digital health, and translational neuroscience, supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the design, execution, and optimization of drug and digital development programs. My experience spans the full clinical development continuum—from phase I to phase IV trials—including endpoint selection, biomarker strategy, digital endpoints, patient enrichment, and real-world evidence generation, with the objective of improving patient experience, relevance, and adoption. I have led and advised European and international academic–industry partnerships, helping translate advanced neuroscience, biomarkers, and AI-driven tools into regulator-relevant and patient-centric solutions. My areas of interest include disease-modifying therapies, early intervention, prevention strategies, and targeted treatments, where aligning scientific rigor with patient needs and real-world feasibility is critical to success. Previously, I held a senior leadership role at Biogen Digital Health (US), working on digital screening tools, personalized medicine strategies, and the integration of digital and biological data to support targeted drug development in Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegenerative disorders. Alongside my academic and hospital leadership roles—including managing specialized memory centers and serving as President of a national network of over 400 memory clinics—I provide senior consulting and advisory support to pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, and health-tech startups, focusing on de-risking development programs and accelerating time to patient impact. Open to advisory and consulting engagements with pharma and biotech teams committed to patient-centric innovation in brain health and neurodegenerative diseases.
