I have a passion for changing the world through software. I am currently focused on building solutions for assistive technology users and the developers and manufacturers who serve assistive technology users. I work part-time with Raising the Floor, working to help build the Global Public Inclusive Infrastructure (see video). I also work on open source assistive and therapy apps for Android, and am in the process of building a company that will focus in these areas. Specialties: Development, Assistive Technology
As technical lead on two key projects with Raising the Floor, I am working to build databases and associated web applications in support of the Cloud4All and Prosperity4All grants. The ultimate goal of each of these projects is to enable users with special needs to find solutions that meet their needs, and to lower the costs and build markets for teams building assistive solutions.
I volunteer my time working as an Android developer to create open source assistive and therapy apps.
I manage a team of developers and business analysts working on process improvement projects within Atlassian Support. I also act as business owner for the site we use to provide support to our customers.
Provided daily support for Atlassian customers, assisted with escalations from and mentored junior engineers. Worked on process improvement projects.
While working at UHI, I built a system to drive project and change management using Confluence and JIRA including templates for creating content and mechanisms for reporting on projects and changes. I also helped support Confluence, JIRA, ELGG, and Blackboard in that environment.
