I am currently working as a Mental Health Counsellor at Hiwell, the number one online therapy platform in Greece, where I provide individual online sessions to adult clients. I follow an integrative approach, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy forming the core of my practice, while also using tools and techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Schema Therapy. My focus is on fostering self-awareness and creating a collaborative space where clients can understand their strengths and challenges, and learn to apply therapeutic tools in their daily lives for lasting growth. I hold a Master of Science (MSc) in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health from Queen Mary University of London (accredited by the BPS), as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology from New York College. I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Association of Greek Psychologists (Σύλλογος Ελλήνων Ψυχολόγων – ΣΕΨ/SEPS). I have the Graduate Member Status | Graduate basis for chartered membership (GBC), offered by the BPS. I am licensed to provide psychological services in Greece, and I also hold an Enhanced DBS certificate. BSc, MSc, GMBPsS
I currently work as a Mental Health Counsellor at Hiwell, the number one online platform in Greece offering therapy services. I provide individual 50 minute online sessions to adult clients, supporting a wide range of psychological needs. The foundation of the sessions I offer is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while following an integrative approach that also incorporates techniques and tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Schema Therapy. My client population consists of adults, with a primary focus on personality disorders—particularly Cluster B presentations such as Borderline Personality Disorder—as well as mood disorders, including Bipolar Disorder, and anxiety disorders such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. My main goal is to support clients in developing self-awareness of both their strengths and their more challenging patterns, and to help them learn how to use and apply therapeutic tools in ways that remain meaningful and sustainable in their lives over time.
I shadowed Locum Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist Dr. Celia Taylor, where I observed and took notes at evaluation meetings with ex-offenders who have mental health diagnoses, such as paranoid schizophrenia, and are in the process of being reintegrated into the community. These meetings often involved multidisciplinary collaboration with the forensic psychiatrist, social worker, and/or community psychiatric nurse (CPN). I also attended a wide range of professional and clinical meetings, including CPA meetings, RAG meetings, referral meetings, MAPPA meetings, assessment meetings, clinical meetings, placement reviews, ward rounds, recalls of patients on a community order, and handover meetings. Additionally, I participated in Team Away Days, which provided further insight into the team’s dynamics and the broader context of forensic mental health care.
I attended and observed weekly group therapy sessions which integrated methods from systemic and art therapy approaches. As part of my role, I provided weekly clinical reports that included both objective statements and subjective interpretations of each session. At the start of each group therapy session, I also delivered a summary of the previous week’s discussion to help maintain continuity and therapeutic focus. In addition, I conducted research on various therapeutic topics, such as the effectiveness of Music Therapy on the male population, to support the development and understanding of different therapeutic interventions and their effectiveness on different populations.
