As a Chemical Engineering graduate from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, I specialise in process design and industrial project execution. Currently serving as a Projects Executive at Dhanuka Agritech Ltd, my responsibilities are centred on managing the installation of new plant projects and executing continuous improvement strategies to optimise ongoing manufacturing operations. My technical scope encompasses the development and review of Basic Engineering Design Packages (BEDP) and Detailed Engineering Packages, equipment sizing, and ensuring safe, seamless plant commissioning within the agrochemical sector. A critical driver of my role is cross-functional alignment to steer capital projects successfully from concept to commercial reality. I regularly collaborate with R&D to evaluate process scale-up parameters and technical feasibility, coordinate with the Production team to integrate new assets with minimal plant downtime, and partner with Finance to formulate robust project proposals and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) justifications. Through this multidisciplinary approach, I am committed to advancing operational efficiency, process safety, and rigorous project delivery standards.
As an ICT Mumbai Chemical Engineering graduate, I am building my career at the intersection of process design and project execution. In my current role as a Projects Executive at Dhanuka Agritech Ltd, I manage the installation of new plant projects while continuously optimizing ongoing manufacturing processes. My daily responsibilities involve translating concepts into reality by preparing and reviewing Basic Engineering Design Packages (BEDP) and Detailed Engineering Packages, ensuring a smooth transition from flowsheet to physical commissioning. Stepping into the agrochemical industry as a recent graduate has offered a steep and rewarding learning curve. Proposing and executing capital projects requires a holistic view of the business, prompting me to collaborate cross-functionally across departments. I regularly interface with R&D on process scale-up and feasibility, coordinate with Production to integrate new systems with minimal downtime, and partner with Finance to build viable project proposals and CAPEX justifications. This dynamic environment allows me to rapidly master industrial project lifecycles, plant safety, and operational economics.
My internship at Jayant Agro-Organics Ltd. provided hands-on exposure to real-world plant operations, process optimization, and industrial safety practices. I worked with project engineers on thermic fluid network analysis and contributed suggestions for efficiency improvement.
As the Overall Event Head of ICT Mumbai’s Techfest, I was responsible for leading a large student team and coordinating diverse technical events. My role involved managing logistics, sponsorships, and event operations while ensuring seamless collaboration among different committees. This experience strengthened my leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and taught me to handle large-scale events under tight timelines.
As the Content Head of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at ICT Mumbai, I was responsible for creating and managing communication material for various council activities. I contributed to conceptualizing innovation-driven events, drafting official content, and designing engaging material to promote creativity and entrepreneurship among students. This role enhanced my skills in content development, communication strategy, and event coordination while allowing me to play a part in fostering an innovative campus culture.
