As a Medical Interpreter and International Patient Coordinator, I have supported international patients in navigating healthcare services across different public and private hospitals. Fluent in Arabic, Turkish, Somali, and English, I provided multilingual interpretation during doctor consultations and translated key medical documents. In addition to interpretation, I managed appointment scheduling, hospital selection based on patient needs, and the full coordination of the treatment process from admission to discharge. I served as a bridge between healthcare providers and foreign patients, ensuring smooth communication, cultural understanding, and personalized guidance throughout the medical journey. My goal was always to ensure that each patient felt informed, respected, and well cared for during their time in the healthcare system.
I observed health service processes and patient care by doing internships in various departments for two years in the hospital environment. I gained experience in patient records and medical documentation. I was trained in the use of medical equipment and instruments and gained hands-on experience. I have developed the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their relatives. Working in coordination with the healthcare team, I strengthened my teamwork and leadership skills.
