I am a Biochemistry graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a strong passion for science and a deep commitment to improving healthcare access, particularly for underserved communities. As an undergraduate researcher in the Popova Research Group, I contributed to the NSF-funded Chemistry Laboratory Curriculum (CLC) Innovators project, where I analyzed qualitative data and coded interview transcripts to evaluate the impact of professional development programs on chemistry instructors’ teaching practices. Through this work, I strengthened my research, critical thinking, and data analysis skills while gaining valuable insight into chemistry education and instructional design. I will be attending the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy to pursue my Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. I aspire to become a pharmacist who combines scientific expertise with patient-centered care, advocates for health equity, and mentors future healthcare professionals. I am eager to continue developing my skills through research, community engagement, and professional experiences in pharmacy and healthcare.
• Contribute to an NSF-funded project that equips chemistry instructors nationwide with evidence-based teaching practices to reform chemistry laboratory curricula. • Analyze qualitative data, including interview transcripts, to evaluate the professional development program’s impact on participants’ teaching strategies and laboratory instruction methods. • Code and interpret qualitative data to identify themes and trends related to instructor practices and curriculum reform. • Assisted the leadership team during the 2025 CLC Summer Institute by coordinating sessions, supporting participant engagement, and ensuring smooth program operations.
• Assisted seniors in the Adult Day Health Unit, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being during daily activities. • Collaborated with healthcare staff to coordinate and lead group programs such as arts and crafts, exercise, and memory-stimulation activities. • Built strong communication and empathy skills by engaging with seniors and providing emotional and social support. • Gained hands-on experience in patient-centered care and learned about the unique healthcare needs of older adults.
