While pursuing my B.S. in Neuroscience I fell in love with the subject of Gerontology and completed my M.S. in the field. I am passionate about providing older adults with emotional and medical support, as well as connecting them to the resources available to them. I have volunteered with the older population for years, including providing care taking services in a residential senior living community and working on research regarding elder abuse and prevention. I hope to continue learning and pursuing my passion from a position that will yield meaningful and lasting results.
As a Care Manager at Arosa, I provided personalized care coordination and advocacy for aging clients and their families. Within this project I helped create an algorithm used to predict elder mistreatment using electronic health record data. I conducted comprehensive data entry and analysis with RedCap, demonstrating proficiency in data management and interpretation relevant to case management. I also participated in and transcribed interviews with older adults and caretakers, gaining insights into the challenges and needs of the older population.
