Led product strategy and execution for K4-10 paid user experience, covering BYJU's Tuition Centre (hybrid learning) from almost inception and expanding to BYJU's Class and asynchronous learning (paid consumer app) in 2023, focusing on onboarding, activation, in-class/post-class engagement, and learning outcomes. As the company shifted its focus from aggressive expansion to sustainable profitability, I ensured that consumer experience remained at the forefront while driving multiple org-wide tech/ops cost reduction initiatives to meet business goals.
Played an instrumental role in establishing BYJU’s Tuition Centre as a omnichannel/ hybrid tuition center business and led product in driving its rapid expansion to over 300 physical centers spanning 140 cities within a single year. Through its tech-driven platform, BTC ensures seamless onboarding/activation, personalized learning recommendations, real-time hybrid class streaming, and in-class/post-class engagement—all while addressing the demand for physical spaces that promote discipline, student-teacher interaction, and peer engagement. This product achieved the highest product-market fit (PMF) among all K4-10 offerings, with ~75% average student attendance and over 50% renewals in first year. Notably, more than 30% of students scored over 90% in their grade 10 exams, and over 60% improved their academic performance.
• Led software product and GTM for BYJU's LearnStation, physical learning device that offers a distraction free, phygital learning experience to K10 students. We leverage the unique hardware design, customized Android OS for learning and cutting edge technologies like computer vision/AI/ML to build world class learning experiences for students. The engagement on the device was ~30% higher than baseline. Scaled the product to $100 Mn+ annual revenue within 18 months. • Led the product strategy for several organization-wide horizontal initiatives, including enhancing the parent experience, optimizing the Help Center (self-serve and chatbot solutions), and spearheading BYJU's English learning product. Additionally, I was responsible for driving product strategy for BYJU’s below-the-line (BTL) marketing initiatives, contributing to the brand's broader growth and engagement goals.
Product Leader for Acko's flagship Auto Insurance Product which contributed ~70% to overall Gross Written Premium (GWP). Led all core customer experience teams (App, web/mweb purchase and post purchase experience, Pricing personalization, Claims and Operations), growth product and strategic auto insurance partnerships (Amazon, Coverfox etc.).
• Led product strategy and execution for strategic auto partnerships with brokers, corporate agents and POSPs. Scaled up the business from scratch to a multi-million dollar business • Led the product strategy for multiple key micro insurance partnerships across ride hailing, travel, lending and consumer electronics categories. Scaled the business to ~2mn policies per day. • Led the development of Acko's in house policy administration and machine learning based pricing personalisation platform
DaaS team at Paytm owns the Hadoop infrastructure and creates systems that enable end-to-end data pipelines (batch or stream) that take data from event emission and ingestion all the way through to BI applications and other Paytm services built on top of our data. I spearheaded the replatforming of Paytm’s data platform into a realtime, highly performant platform. Built products that enabled machine learning/personalization, marketing campaigns and realtime analytics and decision making for merchants as well as internal business/product stakeholders. I also led a 15 member central analytics team focused on product and growth analytics.
Part of Paytm Mall Product Management team - Led the end to end product charter for returns, replacement and cancellations across consumer web and app, seller App, fulfilment and logistics - Led the product charter for first mile pickup and shipment consolidation for long tail merchants - Led strategic seller partnerships that have potential to significantly impact topline, product selection and customer experience. Integrated with 10+ large merchant (across India and China) to allow seamless order processing and inventory sync between Paytm and seller's system.
