Graduated in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology in 2021 with a CGPA of 3.93 (2nd position). Began my professional career with Baker Hughes as an intern in the Completion Engineering Department, where I gained foundational exposure to downhole tools, equipment preparation, and packer setting procedures. In 2023, I joined Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) as a Wellsite Drilling Engineer. During this period, I was actively involved in field operations including Daily Drilling Reports (DDR), monitoring drilling parameters, tracking Non-Productive Time (NPT), preparing casing and liner tallies, cement volume calculations, assisting in pressure testing (FIT, LOT, SBT), kill sheet preparations, and supporting wireline logging operations (GR, Caliper, Sonic, CBL, VDL, etc.). Also assisted in operational execution of wellhead installation, cement jobs, and recovery of stuck strings. In mid-2024, I transitioned to POL Head Office as a Drilling Engineer. My responsibilities expanded to include preparation of Drilling Programs, well trajectory design using Halliburton COMPASS, casing design verification using StressCheck, comparative offset analysis, and end-of-well report compilation. I’ve been involved in technical evaluations for bits, centralizers, float equipment, and wellheads, as well as material planning and inventory management for upcoming wells, sidetracks, and workovers. I frequently utilize software such as OpenWells, WellPlan, Power BI, and Adobe Illustrator for planning, visualization, and reporting. With a combination of field exposure and office-based engineering, I continue to build a technically sound foundation in drilling engineering, focusing on safe, cost-effective, and optimized well delivery.
