As a Software Engineer and Team Lead at NASTP Rawalpindi, I contribute to the development of high- and low-fidelity military training simulators designed to support realistic operational training through interoperable simulation systems compliant with SISO standards. In my leadership role, I manage development teams, coordinate task planning and execution, provide architectural guidance, resolve technical challenges, oversee testing activities, and support deployment and integration at customer sites. I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-performance simulation solutions. Throughout my tenure, I have been involved in a wide range of technical domains, including networked simulation systems, 3D model integration, local earth model implementation, Cesium SDK integration, immersive audio systems, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) development, and performance optimization. I have also integrated and evaluated advanced hardware and software platforms, including Varjo headsets, VR-Forces (MAK Technologies), SteamVR, OpenXR, ZED Mini SDK, and 3D mouse technologies. Key technologies include Unity 3D, Unreal Engine 5, Cesium, OpenXR, SteamVR, and simulation interoperability standards. The simulation systems developed by our team enable effective training while reducing operational costs, minimizing resource consumption, and supporting environmentally sustainable training practices through the use of advanced virtual environments.
