As someone dedicated to learning, I aim to connect: Research, Business, and Strategy together to form resilient, future-oriented organisations. My approach is to translate research into actionable insights that address real-world challenges and drive long-term, sustainable impact in increasingly complex VUCA environments. My recent applied research includes: (1) Doing Business in the Middle East: Energy Transition and Post-Oil Economies. (2) Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Project Planning and Execution. (3) E-Waste and Market Failure: An Evaluation of Economic Externalities and Policy Responses in Germany Vs. United Kingdom. (4) CIPD Research Policy: The Impact of Full Remote and Hybrid Working on Employees and Employers in the United Kingdom. (5) Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Evaluation of End-of-Life Strategies for Onshore Wind Turbines Based on their Environmental Impacts (Case study on a German wind farm).
In this role, I managed the design and delivery of HVAC and plumbing systems for pharmaceutical and industrial projects. My work included performing design calculations, selecting equipment, and conducting technical and cost assessments for new projects or replacing outdated MEP systems in existing buidlings. The projects I worked on include: • Lilly Alzey Pharmaceutical Facility – HVAC Design | Alzey, Germany • Eurotower – MEP Equipment Refurbishment | Frankfurt, Germany • DWS Holding & Service GmbH Building (DB Kairos) – MEP Equipment Refurbishment | Frankfurt, Germany • Procter & Gamble Service GmbH Building – MEP Equipment Refurbishment | Schwalbach, Germany
As a Research Lead, I led a multidisciplinary team of 36 postgraduate students across 12 teams to develop a 17 MW offshore wind turbine concept. I coordinated research across different technical workstreams including foundations, drivetrain, tower, nacelle...etc., and acting as the main link between students, academic supervisors, and industry partners to keep the work practical and commercially relevant. I also supported the integration of sustainability strategies such as lifecycle CO₂ reduction (Scope 1,2,3) and circular economy principles, and helped present the project at an international wind energy exhibition, engaging directly with industry professionals on potential partnerships and future applications.
In this position I worked on the client side as Co‑Lead Programme for Al Qana waterfront development in Abu Dhabi, supporting senior leadership with strategic programme planning. I led cross‑functional teams across engineering, commercial, and delivery streams, managed programme‑level budgets, risks, and controls, and produced dashboards and KPI reporting to track progress across multiple packages. I also acted as the primary client‑side interface for the MEP and Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) systems Infrastructure, coordinating closely with design teams and local authorities (ADNOC, ADCD). The programme included major projects such as : • The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi • Cinemacity Al Qana • The Bridge Lifestyle Hub with fitness and wellness center • Pixoul Gaming, an e-sports and VR complex (Indoor games/sports park) • Al Qana Marina • Retails
During my internship, I gained hands‑on exposure across all stages of project delivery, working closely with sales, design, construction, and handover teams. I supported the preparation of project proposals and client presentations, carried out basic financial and cost‑risk analyses, and contributed to MEP equipment layouts and technical design reviews. I also assisted on site with the coordination of installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems, which gave me a solid end‑to‑end understanding of how engineering projects move from concept through to delivery.
