Worked as Field QC Processing geophysicist in Mari Seismic Unit from March 2019 to June 2022 where key responsibilities include from basic processing to Final processing using Omega 2.1 by WesternGeco Schlumberger mainly focusing on structure validation and QC checks. Key Responsibilities as QC Geophysicist Pre-plot and post-plot data attributes analysis like fold and geometry timewise. Review periodic instrument tests (daily and monthly)to ensure that the recording system is functioning to the manufacturer’s specifications. To ensure that all field data acquisition parameters are strictly adhered to and check observer’s reports for accuracy and legibility. Monitor survey methods to ensure that the line positioning is within required accuracies and in agreement with programmed pre-plot locations. To ensure receiver arrays are accurately laid out as per standards. Reporting includes project startup report, daily/weekly/monthly reports, line/block completion report, final operational report, financial reports (invoices) and inventories etc. 1st Jan 2014 – 28th Feb 2019 Mari Petroleum Company Ltd, Islamabad, Pakistan Processing Geophysicist (Processing Center) Worked in dedicated processing center of exploration company Mari Petroleum Company Pakistan from 1st Jan. 2014 to Feb. 2019. Role includes 2D/3D seismic data processing from data input to migration including geometry building, noise attenuation parameter testing, in different domains, signal processing, statics solution, velocity estimation and migration (both pre/post stack) using Geovation suite by CGG. Key responsibilities Include geometry QC, performing amplitude recovery tests, linear/random noise attenuation and its QC, statics calculation using GeoTomo by Tomo Plus and Geovation application Geostar. Deconvolution parameter testing, velocity analysis, calculating residual statics, noise attenuation in offset domain, pre/post stack migration and post stack filtering.
ARAMCO approved Processing Geophysicist Worked in Saudi ARAMCO DP centre (representing BGP Intl.) calculating near surface modelling of North block of KSA. Calculated multi layer model of North of the Kingdom with the help of upholes drilled. Key responsibilities • Include calculating statics and validating the results by applying and comparing with single layer model. • Include calculating grid model Tomo statics by using Tomo Plus by Geo Tomo. • QC of static models was done by stacking using Echoes by Paradigm. Key achievements/projects • Assisted the team leader in preparation of case study title “Building a multiple layer model for near-surface static corrections” for SEG meeting in 2010-11.
Key responsibilities • Include processing upto Migration of 2D Yuva region (Dynamite, northern Turkey. • Seismic processing upto Migration of 2D Salihli 50 LKM (Vibroseis), Turkey using ProMAX.
Worked in seismic crews of KSA, UAE, Egypt and Pakistan as Infield QC Geophysicist where key responsibilities were To manage and direct field processing operations for tape copying and data quality control. RMS amplitude and Clock time-break display for all recorded traces. Spectral analysis of the recorded reference (pilot) for every shot recorded. Vertical stack of every shot record. Start time overlay plot Stacked LMO display in source\receiver domain. Quality control of the vibrators DGPS returns using FACE. Quality control and performance monitoring of the vibrators and line equipment. The radio similarities are checked with Pelton VibQC32\Testif-I 202 software while WesternGeco’s VEiW-QC software is used for PSS analysis. Weekly hardwire similarities and monthly instrument tests To perform or supervise an operator performing any surface refraction survey or Uphole survey (using OYO Mc-Seis Camera) and interpreting using Upstat software. Responsible for creating scripts for shooting. Preparation and QC of deliverables for data shipments, Processing up to Brute Stack Level on OMEGA.
