Operates the Distributed Control System (DCS) to regulate parameters across critical Hot Section units, including Feedstock Preheat System, Lummus SRT 1.5/SRT VI Pyrolysis Heaters, Gasoline Fractionation, Quench Systems, Pyrolysis Fuel Oil/Gas Oil Systems, Super High-Pressure System, and Gas Turbine Exhaust Gas Integration to Heaters. Utilizes Advanced Process Control (APC) and Feed Maximizer – Composite Linear Program for process optimization. Leads the review and optimization of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instruction Procedures (WIPs), and Critical Operating Procedures to enhance process efficiency and safety compliance. Prepares markup documents for operations and turnaround activities. Participates in Risk Assessments, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSRs), and Management of Change (MOC) processes, providing technical input to ensure safety and operational feasibility.
Operated, monitored, maintained, and performed troubleshooting of Charge Gas Compressor, Tertiary Refrigerant Compressor, Charge Gas Driers, Liquid Driers and Quench Tower. Led the planning and preparation of systems/equipment for maintenance activities. Assigned and supervised daily routine tasks, ensuring optimal workload distribution among team members. Maintained core Process Operator/Technician responsibilities while holding additional responsibility for the Compression Section.
Operated, monitored, maintained, and performed troubleshooting of Hot Section and Utilities equipment and process parameters, which include Dongbo HP Steam Boilers, Thermax Oil and Gas Fired Boilers, Deaerator, Steam Letdown and Condensate Systems, Feedstock Preheat System, Lummus SRT 1.5 / SRT VI Pyrolysis Heaters, Gasoline Fractionation, Quench Systems, and Fuel Gas System (LPG Vaporization for Startup) during normal operations, upsets, and emergencies. Assisted in the commissioning of additional heater (SRT VI Heater) and GE 6B.03 40MW Gas Turbine Generator with Exhaust Gas Integration to Lummus SRT VI Heaters. Identified and reported unsafe acts/conditions, recommended control measures, and promptly informed supervisors of abnormalities or malfunctions.
Acts as support for Operations on item deliveries used for shutdown either import or local goods. Communicate with vendors to expedite urgent goods needed during plant shutdown. Tallies goods based on MS Excel lists and SAP Delivered lists. Ensures goods were properly stored and preserved on warehouse. Assists on contract picking and manpower mobilization for shutdown operations.
