In my second year, I have been given more freedom to create solutions to the problems put before me. I have also undertaken two large group work projects, which have developed my teamwork skill. I hope to secure a summer internship that will allow me to develop my ability to manage complex projects and communicate my work, which will helpful for my Individual Project in Year 3 of my programme. Incoming placement student for the UK Space Agency's "Skills for Space" programme.
Operated a testing system to measure the distribution of the specific absorption rate (SAR) values due to wireless devices transmitting in different standards. This is to ensure compliance with public safety regulations before the product can go to market. My responsabilties included: • Carry out testing according to the test plan and the standard operating procedure, which were made by senior engineers. • Keep a logbook to help me troubleshoot problems and give a handover to the next shift. • Collaborate with the team to deliver a report to the customer on time, as per the schedule for the product’s release date.
