Helping People Own Their Vision | Precision in Surgery. Humanity in Care. I help people regain clarity, confidence, and independence through precision cataract and refractive surgery. For nearly four decades, I’ve had the privilege of restoring vision and witnessing how profoundly it changes lives. Vision correction isn’t a product or a promotion; it’s an investment in autonomy and long-term quality of life. As Medical Director of the Wellington Eye Clinic in Dublin, I lead a practice built around a simple principle: surgery is not the end of the journey, but rather the beginning. Our “Own Your Vision” philosophy reflects a structured approach to Lifestyle Vision Design™, aligning surgical precision with the realities of each patient’s life stage, profession, and aspirations. I specialise in cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK, Custom Lens Replacement, Implantable Collamer Lenses, Allotex and advanced IOL technologies. I’ve worked at the leading edge of digital planning, AI-guided sizing and personalised, precision refractive strategies. Technology, however, is only meaningful when it deepens trust and improves the patient experience. Beyond clinical practice, I help shape the future of refractive surgery globally. I serve on the Boards of Alcon, Ocumetra, and The World College of Refractive Surgery, and I am Co-Chief Medical Editor of CRST Global. I’m also an active member of AECOS and the ISRS, and have featured on The Ophthalmologist Power List six times since 2017. I believe refractive surgery should be understood as a proactive investment in lifelong visual independence. Not a luxury. Prevention and preservation deserve cultural prominence in eye care, just as they do in dentistry. After nearly four decades in this field in clinics and operating rooms, my focus extends beyond individual outcomes to the continued evolution of our field; advancing standards, strengthening trust, and helping position refractive surgery as an integral part of lifelong health. Contributing to that progress remains one of the most meaningful parts of my work.
