Joined Neste to assist the Middle Distillate Desk grow from regional refinery sales to a Global Supply and Trading organization. While initially responsible for the supply book, became the dominant force in Jet Fuel trading in the Baltics which included supply through Estonia to the Coalition forces in Afghanistan. Upon return from 3 years secondment in Singapore, developed the High Sulphur Gasoil Trading for Neste and controlled the majority of the HS flow from St Petersburg. With the sanctioning of Russia, now responsible for all Neste's European Diesel and Gasoil trading, which includes mentoring and training of Junior Traders Key achievements: *Introduced Neste to Compulsory Stock Market (CSO) market adding many millions to refinery margin *Constantly the top contributor to to the Middle Distillates desk PNL *Acted as Global Head of Middle Distillates and had the fastest PNL growth of the desk -surpassing the previous record annual PNL in 5 months.
Moved on expatriate secondment to Neste Singapore to develop Far East Arbitrage desk for Neste. Established Neste as a key player in Middle Distillate arbitrage business and managed sales, supply and proprietary trading activity for the East of Suez region. Key achievements: *Reduced market structure risk by moving cargoes from the Far East to Europe via the North Pole route *Introduced Neste to customers and suppliers outside of the traditional European market *Significantly reduced Neste's winter diesel blending costs by introducing high flash Kerosene blend component from SE Asia
Worked in a small team of highly motivated professional traders to trade physical oil and paper derivatives. Joined Totsa as a Junior Trader under the tutelage of a seasoned global trading team. Development path included learning about price risk management and worked on the Risk Desk as part of the rotational learning inside the Totsa organization. Worked in the Shipping department and obtained my Tanker Chartering Certificates from the Cambridge academy of Transport.
