Los Angeles, California, United States
Dr. Armen Orujyan is an Architect of Innovation Ecosystems. His career is a testament to the power of structured intervention—creating the intellectual, financial, and physical infrastructures that allow human intent to scale. He is not a passive observer of global trends; he is an active participant in shaping them. This trajectory positions him as a unique scholar-practitioner: one who can debate philosophy at the Baker Institute, negotiate policy at the United Nations, and build deep-tech ventures in emerging markets. From the "survival" streets of immigrant Los Angeles to the "thriving" potential of a digitized Armenia, his journey has been one of relentless capacity building. Currently, as Founder and CEO of Curio Ventures, Dr. Orujyan builds deep-tech ventures that solve fundamental human challenges. Simultaneously, as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council of Rwanda, he advises on national strategies for smart economic transition. Previously, as Founding CEO of the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST), he oversaw the construction of a national innovation stack—from Generation AI (a high school curriculum) to Unit 1991 (defense-tech training) and the ADVANCE Research Grants. Dr. Orujyan applies his proprietary "Individual Capacity and Intent" methodology to every endeavor. Whether serving as a UN Broadband Commissioner or an Advisor at Meta or architecting a sovereign tech sector, his goal remains distinct: to eliminate dependencies and engineer the capacity for humanity to thrive.
