-Worked with the Facilities engineering team for CNRL’s Kirby Thermal Oil Facilities -Championed Management of Change processes on various projects -Performed thermodynamic and heat transfer calculations, and historic data analysis on heat exchangers to determine the root cause for reduced performance -Corresponded with vendors and determined if supplied piping and equipment specifications are appropriate for the required applications -Ensured Pressure Relief Devices and Vents are appropriately sized -Conducted Process Hazard Analyses for the installation of new or modification of existing facilities -Modified Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams to reflect new additions or changes
-Worked in both Production and Exploitation Engineering -Identified opportunities to improve facility efficiencies and increase well production -Created pipeline models to simulate the development of new facilities and well pads -Conducted an in-depth economic evaluation of CNRL's Clearhills Gas Plant resulting in a recommendation to conduct a plant turnaround in 2023 and to consolidate two area gas plants to maximize area cash flow - Created inflow performance and tubing performance curves to estimate the post-workover oil and gas production of wells -Performed historic data analysis for plunger lift installations to create analogues for future installations -Submitted applications and handled correspondence with governing bodies including the BC Oil and Gas Commission
-Gained invaluable field experience and first-hand knowledge of day-to-day operations at CNRL’s Narraway Natural Gas Plant -Conducted routine pipeline and field compressor station maintenance -Tracked daily production volumes and completed downtime reports for 30+ wells -Ensured all sites and facilities are adequately maintained, and performed repairs if necessary -Tested and calibrated equipment to ensure they are functioning as intended -Participated in monthly safety reviews to identify any workplace hazards or problematic equipment
