I recently had the opportunity to contribute to the development of a medical imaging product designed for calibrating X-ray machines in clinical settings —a small but meaningful step in the fight against cancer. Here’s what I got up to: • Managed design files & collaborated with suppliers to ensure smooth and timely production—sharpening both my IT and project management skills. • Delivered projects on time and within budget, staying focused and organised throughout. • Wrote technical documents to understand new manufacturing processes and support future developments. • Used 3D CAD modelling and various IT systems to design custom components. • Assisted in assembly of the final product. • Shipped the finished unit to a client in France, contributing to real-world healthcare solutions. This experience not only boosted my technical ability, but also gave me a deeper sense of purpose knowing my work supports something as important as cancer diagnosis and treatment.

  • Assistant MMA Coach at Lions MMA Bradford
    May 2022 - Sep 2023 · 1 yr 5 mos

    • I had the opportunity to do work experience as an Assistant MMA Coach at Lions MMA in Bradford, where I worked closely with experienced coaches and supported group sessions for beginner fighters. It was a hands-on role that gave me a real insight into what it takes to run a professional training environment. • I helped set up equipment, supported warm-ups and drills, and gave one-to-one guidance during technique work and fitness drills. I also learned how to manage different age groups children at multiple ability levels, keeping sessions engaging, fun and safe for everyone. Here what I took away from this work experience the most: • This experience helped me build confidence, improve my communication and leadership skills, and understand the importance of discipline, focus, and teamwork - not just in MMA, but in everyday life. It also showed me how much planning and structure goes into coaching, which gave me a new level of respect for the sport and the people involved in it, especially when organising high level tournaments.
