About

I'm an IT professional at Tacoma Screw Products, where I led our organization's first NIST SP 800-171 implementation across ~570 endpoints in WA/OR/ID/MT — saving an estimated $80,000 versus third-party consulting and producing $120,000+ in cumulative documented security savings during my first year of administrative responsibility. My recent work also includes designing an in-house corporate phishing simulation and security awareness program using GoPhish (saving an estimated $15,000 annually versus commercial platforms), running an internal vulnerability assessment with Nessus (saving an estimated $25,000 versus an external pentest engagement), and hardening endpoints fleet-wide via Group Policy — BitLocker disk encryption, USB-based data loss prevention, and refined Active Directory organization. Outside of work, I run a clustered Proxmox homelab configured for high availability across seven segmented VLANs, implementing a true zero-trust architecture with identity-aware access controls (Authelia SSO/MFA, Headscale mesh VPN). I conducted a formal gray-box penetration test of my own infrastructure with a written findings report, validated against an independent Nessus baseline. I'm also the solo developer behind Affluent Labs, an independent software studio I founded in 2018. My most recent production-grade releases are Recipe Spellbook (cross-platform recipe management on Google Play and the Apple App Store) and ZestSSH (Android SSH client) — both built in Flutter / Dart. Across all projects, my games and software have reached a cumulative 300,000+ players. I'm currently pursuing a BS in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity with a minor in Data Analytics at UW Tacoma (expected July 2027, GPA 3.72), with a planned Master of Cybersecurity and Leadership to follow. Long-term, I'm targeting AI and cloud security as my specialization area. I hold CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+, and Microsoft AZ-900. Open to: connecting with people working in AI security, cloud security, GRC, or the broader infosec community; full-time security roles after graduation; and contract / project work.

      Nov 2024 - Present · 1 yr 8 mos

Hired into help desk and progressively took on systems administration responsibilities supporting ~570 endpoints across WA/OR/ID/MT for a multi-state industrial fastener distributor with a 3-person IT team. Key projects and accomplishments: • Led the organization's first NIST SP 800-171 implementation, conducting full self-assessment and remediation. Estimated $80,000 savings versus third-party consulting. • Designed and operated an in-house corporate phishing simulation and security awareness program using GoPhish, an nginx reverse proxy, and Cloudflare-issued TLS over a custom domain. Estimated $15,000 annual savings versus commercial platforms. • Conducted internal vulnerability assessment using Nessus and produced a written remediation plan. Estimated $25,000 savings versus an external pentest engagement. • Hardened endpoints fleet-wide via Group Policy: BitLocker disk encryption, USB-based data loss prevention controls, and refined Active Directory organization. • Resolved 1,000+ support tickets across help desk responsibilities while taking on administrative scope. Cumulative documented cost savings exceed $120,000 in first year of administrative responsibility.

  • Developer at Affluent Labs
    Jan 2018 - Present · 8 yrs 6 mos

Founder and solo developer of Affluent Labs (formerly Affluent Productions), an independent software studio I started in 2018. Recent production-grade releases: • Recipe Spellbook (2026) — Cross-platform recipe management application built in Flutter / Dart, published to Google Play and the Apple App Store. Features Google OAuth sign-in and multi-device sync. • ZestSSH (2026) — Android-native SSH client built in Flutter using dartssh2 and xterm; full terminal emulation, key management, and a tiered freemium pricing model. Earlier work includes three published games with a cumulative reach of 300,000+ players. Across all projects I've handled the full pipeline solo: design, development (codebases ranging 20K–50K lines), backend infrastructure (SQL databases, KVM servers), bug triage, customer support, and store deployment to both major mobile platforms.
