About

Currently, I am pursuing an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. Batch of 2026. Earlier, I served as a Microseismic Geophysicist at Halliburton for 5 years and 5 months, specializing in Conventional Downhole Microseismic and Fiber DAS Microseismic. I analyzed, interpreted, and mapped microseismic data in real-time and post-processing for hydraulic fracturing. Additionally, I was responsible for delivering timely reports and presentations to stakeholders and leading customized projects. I had consistently delivered exceptional results, earning recognition and a successful promotion. From 2016 to 2018, I worked as a Project Assistant in the Marine Seismic Division at CSIR-NGRI on innovative research projects. In my pre-final year of the Integrated Master's program in Applied Geophysics at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, I secured a summer internship at Cairn India Limited. During summer and winter breaks in college, I undertook training at ONGC, OIL, and ORV SAGARKANYA. My extracurricular engagement also reflects a diverse mix of leadership, organizational prowess, and creative expression. I was President of the SEG and EAGE Student Chapters at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and CSIR-NGRI due to my dedication and passion. As President, I organized quiz contests, presentations, lectures, workshops, and case studies, showcasing my organizational and leadership skills. One of my notable achievements was coordinating GeoConfluence, ISM's Annual Geotechnical Fest, in 2015 as Event Secretary. Throughout my academic journey, I've garnered numerous accolades and achievements, showcasing my commitment to excellence and passion for learning. As a representative of the SEG NGRI Student chapter, I had the honor of attending the prestigious SEG/Chevron-Student Leadership Symposium in Anaheim, California, USA in 2018. Additionally, I've presented posters at esteemed national and international conferences, including the SPG Biennial conference in 2017 and the EAGE Annual conference in Vienna 2016, as well as the IGU Conference in 2015. My academic prowess was further recognized with the DST-INSPIRE Scholarship, supporting me throughout my Integrated Master’s Program. Notably, I was selected for the Prof Jagdeo Singh and Dr. S. Balakrishna Memorial grant of IGU in 2015. Moreover, my achievements extend beyond academia, as I secured first place in case studies hosted by Shell and Cairn India in 2015 and qualified for the Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO) in 2009.

I work as a Microseismic Geophysicist, specializing in Conventional Downhole Microseismic and Fiber DAS Microseismic. My responsibilities include analyzing, interpreting, and mapping microseismic data from single and multi-well hydraulic fracturing processes in real-time and post-processing. The primary goals of my work are to quantify the geometry and orientation of the fracture and to understand the complexity of the fracture network. I have experience working with various observation array configurations, including single and multi-array designs with vertical, horizontal, and split-array tool arrangements. Additionally, I am proficient in creating subsurface 3D velocity models. I am responsible for providing timely results and presentations, as well as quality control reports, to project managers, team leads, and clients during and after real-time analysis of well fractures. I have led and delivered numerous customized projects, ensuring quality and efficiency, and presented final results to management and analysis teams. In my professional journey, I have consistently received recognition and appreciation from Project Managers, Team Leads, and clients for delivering exceptional work leading to a successful promotion.

  • Research Assistant at CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute
    Jul 2016 - Dec 2018 · 2 yrs 6 mos

I worked in CSIR-NGRI as a Project Assistant in the Marine Seismic Department, where my primary responsibilities included generating innovative research ideas and actively participating in their execution. In addition, I offered valuable technical support to the research team. I worked on two distinct projects during my tenure. Firstly, I worked on developing a seismic attribute for detecting sub-surface faults in seismic data. For my next project, I worked on stochastic inversion of post-stack seismic data. This involved utilizing a fractal-based initial model to enhance resolution, achieved through the integration of high-resolution well-log data. I presented my research on 'Stochastic inversion of post-stack seismic data using Fractal-based initial model' as a technical poster at SPG India's 12th Biennial International Conference and Exposition in Jaipur, India, in 2017.
