Hi, I’m Juna. I’m a Detroit-based artist and the founder of Juna. Juna started with the idea of making a special bag as a wedding gift for one of my good friends. Leather was nothing like the fabrics I was used to working with. I broke every needle I had for my home sewing machine and the bag looked nothing like I envisioned. So I started teaching myself how to work with leather tools, hand stitching techniques, lacing patterns… Little did I know that the challenges of making that first leather bag would lead to this.
