I'm Arjun, a Grade 12 Student currently pursuing the science (PCM-CS) stream at Global Indian International School, with a strong interest in tech and finance. Exploring and learning at the intersection of the two, I am actively involved in Fintech projects using agentic AI and machine learning to achieve desired results and deepen my understanding of the two fields. Apart from this, I have also worked on an EdTech project with a leading tech company in India to enable a better adoption of technology in the education sector.
- Interning as a Research and Development Intern at Truescope in Singapore.
- Interning as a Research Assistant for Prof. Varun Sharma (Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, Bloomington, ex. NTU Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) - Scraped, cleaned, and collated open interest and end-of-day prices of index and single- name equity options and futures from India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE) using Python’s selenium library. - Implemented a facial recognition and attribute analysis (age, gender, emotion, and race) pilot project in Python using the DeepFace library, a hybrid face recognition framework wrapping state-of-the-art models. (VGG-Face, FaceNet, OpenFace, etc.) - Currently working on an agentic-AI framework for a Fintech project to simulate real-life retailer trades on the Indian stock market using OpenAI-Gymnasium, stable-baseline3 and Python libraries like Pandas, Num-py, and ta, and performance indicators like Bollinger Bands, Sharpe Ratio, MACD, SMA, etc.
Overview: - Participated in the regional finals of STEM Racing 2025 in Singapore, representing my school as C². (the speed of light, squared) - Played a key role in sponsorship acquisition by coordinating outreach and supporting negotiations with potential partners. - Oversaw social media content and engagement, driving 6,000+ interactions and strengthening online presence. - Utilised digital editing tools to produce and optimise photo and video content, improving visual quality, consistency, and audience engagement across social media platforms. - Took initiative in improving content workflows and posting schedules, helping streamline coordination within the team. - Gained hands-on experience with 3D-printing machines and Computer Numerical Code (CNC) machines to refine the team's car for ultimate performance and lap timings. - Developed a newfound interest to learn Computer-aided Design Software (CAD) in depth, by aiding the team in designing various elements of the car. - Built strong fundamentals in responsibility, communication, team management and execution by contributing to time-bound team initiatives.
- Helped implement a school-wide EdTech solution in Punjab, India to enable better access to academic and administrative services for students, teachers, parents and staff. - Surveyed students and teachers on-site to better understand the problems faced by them, and collated ideas on possible solutions. - Converted this user feedback into a combined school-wide application. - Played a major role in the designing and functioning of modules.
